Prefontoast

Born in Naperville, Illinois but from Orange Country, California, Greg is a bouncy, boisterous boy with a proclivity to study late into night.  Known around Lovett for his happiness and constant smile, Greg is an extremely caring individual who is always up for adventures.  Studying cognitive science, Greg loves to delve into the workings of the brain, and often quietly analyzes everyone around him…finding their flaws…plotting…waiting.  The consummate student, Greg is preparing to finish crushing college and run off to medical school.  Greg also works at a cardiovascular research lab at the UT Houston Medical School, unlocking the secrets of the heart.  In his free time, Greg loves to play soccer, rock climb, and crush people at any Nintendo produced game.   When Greg finds time away from his grueling course schedule, you can find him going to the gym with his workout buddy/bff Zack Timmons, the Lovett Chief Justice.  Zack and Greg share a close personal relationship, some would say too close, but their friendship is a testament to Greg’s insatiable lust to make an intimate connection with everyone he meets. Greg was Mr. Lovett 2013, and as such, you can find a picture of him in a Rice speedo in the basement study room, a picture that will inevitably come back to haunt him.  Overall, Greg is a pretty cool guy.

Once upon a time, not that long ago, a young El Salvadorian Princess was born in Houston not far from where we are now. Her hair was as red as a chestnut glowing in the setting sun and her fiery personality matched her hair’s appearance. She loved pink and turquoise and wearing shirts that hid her shorts.  When she danced on the dance floor to Shakira’s powerful vocals, she emitted such seriousness as she focused on executing each long thought out dance move to utter perfection. However don’t be intimated by her regal façade, she once asked in all seriousness where Building TBA was. (Hint: TBA means exactly what you think it does.) Be careful, though, because this girl is more than capable of turning around and giving the sass right back.  When meeting this royal, she’ll make an honest effort to get to know you, but you might have to point your home out to her on a map. At Rice her brilliance shines through as she works to complete a Chemical Engineering degree and master yet another language - she is already fluent in French, Spanish, and English. However, if this falls through she will pursue a career in fashion. Outside of her classwork, she serves as the Lovett representative on U-Court and plays on the Lovett powderpuff team. If you ever need a loving hug or someone to talk to, this starlet will always be there with empathy and sound advice. She is caring, genuine, and loves all of those around her. Don’t be afraid to approach Princess Emma Marcela Interiano, she’ll work hard to make sure you have your happily ever after.

Have you ever met a person whose middle name was Fierce? I have, and her name is Lizzie Garcia… Lizzie Fierce Garcia. Upon meeting Lizzie, I thought to myself, “Where has this chick been all my life?” Immediately I was drawn in by her incredibly good looks, but what really captured my heart was her charisma! You see, Lizzie is the kind of girl you’d like to take home to momma—she is special and she is kind. Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, or otherwise known as “Da 9-5-6”, Lizzie was carefully marinated with just the right amount of Latin Spice. Known far and wide here on the Rice campus for her awesome dance skills, Lizzie and her hips surely don’t lie. In addition to being amazingly talented, Lizzie is also extremely passionate about her studies. Most people say that in college you must sacrifice the amount of sleep you receive in order to maintain a balanced academic and social life—Lizzie is the perfect counterexample to this statement. Every day Lizzie studies, socializes, exercises, and is in bed by no later than 12 a.m…. talk about the grandmaster of multi-tasking! As you venture into O-Week, I’m sure you’ll find that Lizzie is someone you can definitely turn to for absolutely anything. So even if you don’t need advice on how to become the grandmaster multi-tasker, use it as an excuse to initiate a conversation with her. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

If you are reading this right now, congratulations on landing one of the chillest girls at Rice as your Lovett co-advisor.  This tall blonde beauty is the perfect combination of work hard play hard; she literally does it all. While spending most of her time running the university through her involvement with various organizations on campus, she also loves talking with people as much as see loves her hometown Chicago…. which you will very quickly find out is a lot. Rachel is one of the most caring people you will meet at Rice, always looking out for her friends.  And since she never sleeps you can be sure that she’ll be there for you even at 5’oclock in the morning.  Though it is a mystery how she stays so perky and happy on so little sleep, we can only speculate that her job at Coffeehouse helps keep her thoroughly caffeinated. This shameless, funny, lovable, dedicated Mechanical Engineering Martel Junior will be reppin’ that north side swag while making sure you have the best O-Week ever!  So get excited for one hell of a week with your crazy co-advisor.
